LIFE OF DR. AMAR BHART1-A SAGE, A SCHOLAR AND A MAN OF LITERATURE ON A SPIRITUAL PLANE - by H.S.Hanspal President Namdhari Darbar

Dr. Amar Bharti left for his heavenly abode on 14th April 2004. He was a man of high
intellect, was a political genius, a well read man who was born in 1926 at village Lopoke in
District Lyallpur. After partition he settled in Delhi and continued his soul searching mission. The man who saw decades of evolution in India was a noble and pious soul deriving his spiritual strength and thought from Sri Satguru Jagjit Singh Ji. His life was always inspired by Namdhari School of thought.

He was professionally a Homeopathic Doctor but a committed writer by birth who not only
wrote a number of books on spiritual planes and religious aspects of life but also translated great works of the Noble Laureate Gurudev Rabindera Nath Tagore into Punjabi language. He wrote several books and translated many more from Bengali language to enrich the Punjabi literature.

Always looking for the basic spiritual tenets of life Dr. Bharti was a sage in 'grihasth' who
lurched in search of ultimate objective of life and 'Moksha'-the eternity in termination of life that relieves you from the fears of rebirth. He was one of the mysterious spirituals.

Among his recent books are

(1) Dasam Granth Vich Kundlini Tatt
(2) Alloh Warso Meho
(3) Mein Aje Vapis Nahin Aaya
(4) Shantiniketan Bare.

Sikh Itihas Te Kuke - Tulanatmak - Adheyean, and Satgur Tiska Naon - are his two books which every sikh who wants to know about sikh history and philosophy must read.

He contributed much more and enriched the Punjabi literature by directly translating the books of Gurudev from Bengali language into Punjabi.

His death has created a void in literary and spiritual circles which cannot be filled so easily.

However, God's, plans for everyone are mysterious and we have to bow down to His will.
Dr. Amar Bharti is alive in his works.
